Jeffrey P Richards was born in Brookhaven, PA where he attended Coburn Elementary School. He moved with his family to St. Petersburg, FL at the age of 11as his father transfered there with the Westinghouse Corporation. After another transfer, his family moved to Greenwood, SC. Jeff finished his studies and graduated with honors from Greenwood High School, then attended Clemson University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Administrative Management, a minor in Marketing and a concentration in Computer Science in May of 1986. After graduating from Clemson he became employed with Firestone / Mastercare, Inc.as a Center Manager. After four years and multiple locations, Jeff was offered a promotion to Vice President for Customer Relations in Chicago, IL. Having grown attached to the area, Jeff decided to stay in Charleston and started his own Marketing consulting business and a Construction company, also selling insurance products for Colonial Insurance. After some negative business conditions, Jeff went back to corporate life as a Store Manager for the Service Merchandise Corporation. During this time, Jeff was married and had a son. In 1999, Jeff became a single father after a divorce. As the retail environment was not conducive to raising his son, Jeff began yet another career track with Snyder Event Rentals. As a Manager with Snyder, Jeff excelled at growing the tent rental business but after six years, Jeff moved more toward the technical and entertainment side of the event business becoming employed with Production Design Associates, Inc. (PDA) as their Production Manager. Jeff was promoted to the Production Sales Manager after five years "in the trenches". He was promoted again to the Director of Business Development. Jeff is currently employed by the Sears Holdings Corp.- automotive group as a Store Manager and living happily with his son, wife, who is a professional photographer, and new daughter in Mount Pleasant, SC.
